Coming Home

Well, we have decided that we are going to go west this summer.

I am excited!

We were trying to take every other year off and have a family vacations just for our own little family, but it worked out better for us to travel home this summer.

So, ready or not...here we come!

We are going to try and drive it again. It has been seven years since we last tried this, so we will see how it goes.

I want to go with just me and the kids and camp along the way, but I have already had people tell me that's just crazy.

I would also like to take the kids to see some fun things along the way.

Any thoughts?

Having driven that way several times with all the kids, I should have lots of great advice for you...but since we always drive it as quickly as possible stopping only when absolutely necessary I guess I'm not the right one to ask. Good luck, maybe we'll wave as you're actually enjoying the journey.

When are you going? Will you be there when we're there?
We drove across the country twice when I was little, I know we saw a lot of cool things...

Well, there's lots to see in beautiful scenic Oklahoma...

No. No there isn't.

But I suggest you stop at every "World's Largest Ball of String" attraction along the way. And take cheesy pictures of yourselves in front of every "Welcome to Such-and-Such State" sign. That would be truly aweome.

I don't have any advice other than to stop by Price on your way, but we're so excited to see your family again!!

I would love to see you in MN, but it is out of the way! When are you planning this trip? When you drove last, was that the last time I saw you in Orem?

When we moved back to Wa from CT we drove. Our favorite stop was in Nauvoo. We went to Carthage Jail first and then spent the rest of the day in Nauvoo. It was so much fun for all of us. They have a ton of activites for kids and families and it is such a rich place for history. It was our best stop on the long drive across the country!

I am so excited for your visit. I told Amy that we should all go to dinner or something while your at her place!!!

Brent and I have thought of driving out to Virginia. One of the places that we would have taken our kids to are the church historical sites.

I hope this trip involves some quality Spanish Fork time! You are much braver than me to consider camping along the way! Can't wait to see you guys!!

I have always wanted to do that, but never brave enough! Let me know the ups and downs.
