Well, it never fails, but when Troy is gone something always goes terribly wrong.
And, this trip was no exception. Luckily(?!?!) the trials of this trip have been more emotional than physical (but since he doesn't actually come home until tomorrow, I won't rule that out either).
The day after Troy got to Paris I was checking the bank statement and there was a MASSIVE withdrawal from our debit account...well, after quite a bit of anxious waiting to get everything sorted out...it turns out that Troy had accidentally put his hotel expenses on our debit card instead of the credit card...and it was taking the Parisians a bit to reverse everything.
And then the next day, I got a call from our mortgage company saying that we were behind on our mortgage and would I like to make arrangements for a payment.
WHAT?!?!?!
Well, after having a mild heart attack...and finding my voice raising to the level that all the nearby wildlife could hear...it turns out we did in fact make a payment - early even - and that they had simply mis-credited the amount. Holy crap. Are these people trying to KILL me????
And, on a less (meaning not) funny, and more personal note, my grandmother had a massive stroke this week. She is such a wonderful woman, and I am just hoping that we can handle whatever the Lord has in store for her...and for our family. She is still in the hospital, and unable to speak. She is paralyzed on one side and unable to eat.
These are the times when I curse living so far away from our family. But, I pray for them and I know that they know I am thinking of them.
So, here's to Troy coming home soon...so that we can get back to real life.

YIKES! I totally feel for you. Have been there with the debit/credit card thing. I think the mortgage thing and, oh yeah, the wedding photographer thing would have sent me over the edge.

Wow, sounds like a rough week. I hope it gets better.
OMG, I'd be a MESS.
LOVE the wedding, you did an AMAZING job!
You poor gal! I sure hope things get better soon! I've had those weeks!
I'm so sorry about your grandmother. I hope things calm down for you soon.
I hope your grandmother bounces back from her stroke. She is such a sweet lady. I am sending all my most positive thoughts to everyone.
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother and what a rotten week. I'm so impressed that you're holding it all together so well. You and your family are in our prayers.
