O Pioneer!

Well, it's the 24th of July in Hurricane.

You know what means...Pioneer Day.

The kids got to ride in the parade on the float from Aunt Kelli's ward.

Katie had fun watching the parade. Every time something interesting passed by she would point at it and turn to make sure I was looking at it. Too cute.

They ran in the races, got their faces painted, had snow cones, and generally made a mess of themselves. It was fun for all.

Happy Pioneer Day.

I can't believe how big your kids are !!! I didn't know you were in Utah. If you need somewhere to take your kids to play, let me know. We are also bloggers www.thesillykookamongas.blogspot.com

One of the things I miss most about Utah is Pioneer Day! I love the small town parades, the fireworks, and family bar-BQ's.
...Ah the good old days...
Glad you're having fun.

Looks like a ton of fun. I think it would be fun to be in Utah for a real blowout Pioneer Day. This year, they didn't even do the "annual" breakfast. Perhaps we'll have to start our own with our big back yard. Are you EVER coming home?

We also had a great Pioneer Day with our special guests- Mikayla & Emma. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures.....:(

But our day was complete with the Fiesta Days parade, the overpriced carnival, a ton of legal (except for the ones I got in Nevada)fireworks and homemade ice cream. The girls even managed to squeeze in a little DDR.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

I'm jealous; although located in Utah, the city of Price is mostly non-LDS and doesn't celebrate Pioneer Day. So, for the first time in my life I didn't attend a 24th of July celebration. DEl still had the day off, so we created our own fun for the family with a BBQ, swimming, and mountain picnic. Still, it just wasn't the same without a parade and races!

Hi Troy, That was nice of you to put a picture of my Lindy on your blog! She is on the float with your kids (white dress on the right). I love your blog and I look at it once in a while to see what fun things you are up to, like how much closer to 12 you are! I am Troy's friend from Hurricane. I looked for you at the park because Marietta had Denise Beatty paged to come to the races to be at the finish line for Katie so I knew you were there, but I didn't ever see you. Tell Troy hi from Angie Reeve.
