Sleep is So Fifth Grade

So, Mikayla left the house yesterday, at 7:30 a.m. to catch the bus for school.

After school, she had play practice, then basketball practice, then a young woman's presidency meeting, and then young women's. After which, she stayed a little longer to get subjects to participate in her science fair experiment.

She did not get home until after 9 p.m. and didn't eat dinner until 9:30 p.m.

Gosh, now that I am thinking about it...I hope she didn't have any homework!

Wow. I need to send dinner with her on days like this. Bad mom.

Ack. If this is middle school, what is high school going to be like?

I've been wondering the same thing myself, now that we're on the cusp of having a high schooler. Seminary, sports, homework, jobs, church, friends...it makes me tired just thinking about it.

I'm laughing as I read your post. Just wait! It gets better. Wait until they are gone on over night school activities, plus all of their socializing, plus keeping up with AP classes and college courses. Presten rolls his eyes at me when I tell him to get in bed by 10pm.

Oh yeah it think it was 5th grade last I had a good night's sleep. And I'm pretty busy who's going to bring me dinner?
