Holding Out For A Hero

Do you ever have a day where you KNOW, right off the bat that you should just go back to bed?

Yeah.

Yesterday was that day for me.

The source of my troubles?

Could there be any doubt that it all starts with Harry Houdini?

That's right.

My little super villain has figured out how to circumvent the duct tape.

Seriously, can no one stop this madness?

So, I got up and got dressed, and I hear Katie wake up so I sent Emma in to go and get...and I hear...."Noooooooooooooooooooooo! Oh, gross. Mooooooooooooooooooooom!"

Really, do I even need to go and look? Did anything good in life ever start with that?

When I went in to check on her, the little turkey had taken off her pajamas and while she still had the diaper securely taped around her waist, she had figured out that if she yanked on the bottom of her diaper, she could maneuver it out from under the duct tape.

Seriously, so while it was still around her waist, the rest of it was hanging free and now empty of it's "precious" cargo. ack.

So, we zipped her up into her pajamas backwards to put her to bed last night, and now I face a lifetime of backward clothing to stop her evil powers.

Yikes. Did the backward jammies work? I think Amy Shultess was the one who came up with that awesome idea.

Both of your tries at keeping her diaper on are ingenious. I especially like the backwards pajamas.
We used to use pins in diapers. We should have thought of duct tape.
I do enjoy seeing the fun you cute young mothers are going through.
6 kids against one mother keeps you on the move.
At least you are moving in the right direction. Keep it up.
Hi to Troy too.

The things we mothers come up with to keep some sort of sanity in our lives.

Yeah, that is the kind of day where you turn your back on the world and say hello to the inside of your eye-lids.

You are an awesome mother. I love how you deal with life and still manage to keep the humor.

I shudder to think to what she will be capable of when this genius evil mind matures......
In the meantime, thoroughly enjoying the stories, albeit from a smell- and poopfree environment! Good luck with her!

Katie is clearly special and very, very clever. I shudder think of the stories you may soon be telling (insert maniacal laugh here).

I'm hoping you just had "number 1" precious cargo and not "number 2." If it was the former, well then, things could have been a lot worse; the latter, then life sure sucks for you, huh?

Have I mentioned that I no longer have any kids in diapers? (Hehe)
