I have told the children that they are not allowed to sit at the table. Or eat on it Or be near it. Or even look at it.
I guess I should have the attitude that it's meant to be enjoyed, but I'm not there yet. Don't get me wrong, I am already enjoying it. I'm just not ready for the rest of the family to enjoy.
wrong. so wrong.
Anyway, after I was able to tear myself away from the table, we attended the kid's piano festival today.

It was nice to see the children do so well, and work at overcoming their stage fright.
And, the best part? Dessert. (You know, in addition to listening to the children.)

LOVE IT. Everytime I clean my house the kids are not allowed to eat or take a bath or even be in the house. HAHAHA. Only takes a couple hours to wreck what I have cleaned. You should see our kitchen table. You gotta love the purple marker and the white out. So cute. I will trade you. I only ask that you deliver. Then when you are here you can take ours home.

Soooo purdy. My table is covered in clear vinyl you can buy at fabric places by the yard. I like it because the wood grain can still show through. But it is a pain to clean like having a glass table top.
I love the black and wood look. It's very similar to the dining room set we've been eying. Is there a matching china cabinet too?
So love that. I lust after a new table, but it's not in the plans for now.
I'd put a nice tablecloth on it though, at least for a bit -- while you'd still freak-out if they get anything on it. :)

Loved mine too, but after Maggie eroded the finish of the 3 month old table with liquid bandage, well I am not quite so protective any more.
